Transportation free on May 1 and May 19
The decision for free public transportation on rail systems in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir on May 1 Labor Day and May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day has been published in the Official Gazette.
According to the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette, services on the Başkentray, Marmaray, İZBAN, Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme Rail System Line, and Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Arnavutköy Metro Line in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir will be free of charge due to May 1 Labor Day and May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
