Tree massacre during road construction: 12punto enters Kalyon's construction site
12punto has captured footage of the forest area devastated by Kalyon Construction, known for its proximity to the AKP government, for a road project in Kocaeli.
The General Directorate of Highways, under the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, held a tender on February 6, 2020, for the construction of the İzmit-Kandıra and Ağva-Kandıra-Kaynarca roads.
According to a report by İsmail Arı from Birgün, the tender was awarded to Kalyon Construction, known for its proximity to the government, for 628 million 889 thousand TL.
It has emerged that Kalyon Construction, which began road construction work after winning the tender, has cut down thousands of trees.
