TRNC heads to the polls: Süleyman Soylu and the People's Alliance show support for Ersin Tatar
As the propaganda period begins ahead of the October 19 presidential elections, it has been reported that Süleyman Soylu and an AKP-MHP delegation are actively campaigning on the ground in the TRNC, engaging with voters through home visits.
The official propaganda process for the presidential elections to be held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on October 19 has begun. During this period, as the election atmosphere intensifies, it has been claimed that several members of parliament from Turkey have arrived on the island to support Ersin Tatar.
According to a report in Bugün Kıbrıs, former Minister of Interior and AKP Istanbul MP Süleyman Soylu is also personally participating in the election campaign. It was stated that Soylu is seeking support by visiting individuals considered influential among voters in their homes. Furthermore, it has been alleged that the election campaign is being shaped around the rhetoric of "survival" (beka).
AKP AND MHP FIGURES IN TRNC TO SHOW SUPPORT
According to information sourced from the Turkish Agency Cyprus (TAK), the delegation that traveled to the island includes AKP Deputy Chairman Hüseyin Yaman, Konya MP Orhan Erdem, MHP Kütahya MP Ahmet Erbaş, AKP TRNC Representative Emre Kaya, and UID TRNC President Fadıl Şanverdi.
SOYLU CONDUCTS HOME VISITS
It has been learned that former Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu is also actively present on the ground during the election process. It was noted that Soylu, along with his accompanying delegation, has been visiting voters' homes to hold one-on-one meetings.
