Acting Director of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Civil Aviation Department Aşkın Meşeli announced that Turkey will send six F-16 fighter jets to the TRNC tomorrow morning. Meşeli stated that this step is entirely aimed at ensuring security.

Regarding the matter, he said, "I would like to state that the arrival of the aircraft will not cause any disruption to civil flights."

SECURITY-FOCUSED MEASURE

According to information received from Ministry of National Defense sources, efforts are underway to station fighter jets on the island to ensure the security of the TRNC more robustly following recent developments. The shipment in question aims to increase the security level in the TRNC by creating a deterrent against potential threats.

STATEMENT FROM OFFICIALS

Acting Director of the Civil Aviation Department Aşkın Meşeli underlined that the shipment will take place as planned and that there will be no issues regarding civil aviation. Officials emphasize that such measures are important for national security.
