Truck loses control and hits workers in Ankara's Çankaya district: 2 people lost their lives
In an accident that occurred on the morning of May 1st Labor Day in the Çankaya district of Ankara, 2 workers who were trapped under a truck lost their lives.
The incident took place on Şemsettin Günaltay Street in the morning hours. According to the information obtained, a truck began to slide rapidly downhill for an unknown reason, lost control, and struck two workers who were working on the side of the road.

It was learned that the workers, who were dragged for meters by the truck, were employed by a subcontractor firm. The workers, who were severely injured by the impact, lost their lives at the scene. Following the incident, police and medical teams were quickly dispatched to the area. While the teams cordoned off the scene, they initiated identification procedures for the deceased workers and an investigation into the accident.
While there is great sorrow in the region following the accident, it is stated that the incident has brought discussions regarding occupational safety back to the agenda.
