Trump criticizes Democrats and US media over Iran

Trump criticized the country's Democratic politicians and a portion of the media for never being satisfied regarding Iran.

In a post targeting the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and CNN for not being convinced that the US is successful in its conflict with Iran, President Trump stated, "The Democrats and the media have completely lost their way; they have officially gone crazy."

Reacting to criticisms regarding the process in the Strait of Hormuz, Trump used the expression, "If Iran were to admit defeat and surrender to the US, acknowledge that it had completely lost its navy and air force, if its entire army were to lay down its weapons, raise its hands, wave a white flag, and each one of them were to shout, 'I surrender,' the US press might still write that Iran won this war."

Since the beginning of US attacks on Iran, Trump has been responding in kind to the harsh criticisms from Democrats and the US press on this issue through his social media account and in press conferences.
