An operation was carried out in the morning hours as part of an investigation into Cafer Mahiroğlu on charges of bribery, bid-rigging, and laundering assets derived from crime. It was reported that companies belonging to Mahiroğlu were seized and a trustee was appointed to Halk TV, which he owns.
Police teams arrived at Halk TV's building in Zeytinburnu in the early hours of the morning. It was reported that an inspection and search were conducted in the building and that detention warrants were issued for 17 people as part of the investigation.

Following the trustee decision, the channel's broadcast schedule changed. Around 06:30, the live broadcast on Halk TV screens was cut and switched to recorded programming.
Following the broadcast interruption, the 1973 film "Canım Kardeşim" (My Dear Brother) was aired. The film, starring Tarık Akan, Halit Akçatepe, and Kahraman Kıral, was shown on the channel's screens as part of the recorded broadcast.
