Tuğrul Türkeş denies claims regarding Ayyüce and Kutalmış Türkeş's cemetery visit: 'Should not be tarnished by unpleasant friction'

Tuğrul Türkeş denies claims regarding Ayyüce and Kutalmış Türkeş's cemetery visit: 'Should not be tarnished by unpleasant friction'

Following a post by IYI Party member Ayyüce Türkeş claiming she was unable to visit the grave of her father, Alparslan Türkeş, a reaction post came from Kutalmış Türkeş, which included harsh remarks directed at MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli.

As reactions to the crisis emerged one after another, a very different statement came from AKP member Tuğrul Türkeş. Türkeş explained that there was no such tension during the visit to his father Alparslan Türkeş's grave as had been suggested, stating the following:

"On the 29th anniversary of the passing of our late leader Alparslan Türkeş, prayers have been offered across almost every part of our country since last night. Many activities have been carried out to commemorate the late leader.

Likewise, many posts have been shared by his loved ones on social media.

The respect, interest, and prayers shown by our state institutions, led by our President and our MHP Chairman, as well as by non-governmental organizations, primarily the Idealist Hearths (Ülkü Ocakları), and by millions of our people across the Turkish world, have pleased us greatly as the family of our late leader.

Following the completion of the grave visit by the family in the morning hours, it was not appropriate for a simple argument to arise as a result of insults directed at the Idealist youth present by a person who is not a family member and holds no official capacity, citing a simple parking rule.

Furthermore, we must never allow this exceptional day, which everyone remembers with longing and respect and reinforces with sincere prayers, to be tarnished by small and unpleasant frictions.

Voicing the aforementioned incident on social media and overshadowing the meaning and importance of the day will hurt the blessed soul of our late leader Alparslan Türkeş and the hearts of his loved ones.
