TÜLOV President Nurettin Demir involved in a traffic accident
Prof. Dr. Nurettin Demir, President of the Turkey Promotion, Research, Democracy and Secular Formation Foundation (TÜLOV) and a columnist for 12punto, was injured in a traffic accident near Germencik, Muğla.
The first intervention for TÜLOV President and 12punto columnist Prof. Dr. Nurettin Demir was performed at the scene following the accident.
It was reported that Demir, who served as a Member of Parliament for Muğla for 3 terms, sustained a fracture in his neck area, but his general health condition is good.
Prof. Dr. Demir has been transported to be transferred to Istanbul by air ambulance for the continuation of his treatment.
Nurettin Demir established Turkey's first 'Information Processing and Hospital Automation System'. He became an associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1989 and a professor at Harran University Faculty of Medicine in 2000. In 1998, he founded the first private in vitro fertilization center in İzmir.
