Tunç Soyer reacts to 'police intervention at CHP': I could not hold back my tears

Tunç Soyer has made a striking statement from prison regarding the developments following the 'absolute nullity' decision within the CHP and the police intervention in front of the CHP Headquarters.

Sharing on his social media account, Soyer expressed that he watched the process unfold from his cell with deep sadness, stating, "As I watched what happened yesterday alone in my prison cell, I could not hold back my tears; I was devastated. Words have failed. All that remains is deep shame and pain," he said.

Emphasizing that these events caused a major breakdown for him, Soyer expressed his reaction with the words, "It was probably the hardest day I have spent in prison."

Dear Friends,

As I watched what happened yesterday alone in my prison cell, I could not hold back my tears; I was devastated. Words have failed. All that remains is deep shame and pain. It was probably the hardest day I have spent in prison.

I know that starting tomorrow, we will surely find a new breath and formulate new words. Because hope is about the struggle. And we will surely understand the truth better and meet again with new hope and solutions. I know that we will continue the struggle by uniting and multiplying for our love of the country.

Our magnificent Plane Tree has seen many storms and will surely overcome this trouble as well.

I hope this holiday serves as a reminder that the reasons that unite us are more numerous and stronger than those that divide us.
