TUPRS shares temporarily suspended following explosion at TÜPRAŞ
It has been announced that TUPRS shares were temporarily suspended following the incident at the TÜPRAŞ facility in İzmit.
An explosion occurred at the TÜPRAŞ facilities in İzmit, with thick smoke seen rising from the area.

Following the news of the explosion, TUPRS shares initially fell by 2.5 percent to 138.50 TL as of 13:42. It was announced that the shares were temporarily suspended from trading until a statement was issued by the company at 14:03.
PLANNED DRILL
Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tahir Büyükakın announced that there was a planned drill at TÜPRAŞ and that the fire had been brought under control. Büyükakın stated, "They have their own fire department. They handled the matter themselves. We have not received any information regarding injuries or loss of life. The information received is that there is no cause for concern. Otherwise, they would have requested assistance."
