Turgut Altınok responds to reports that 'fuel costs were paid from the municipal treasury'

A new development has occurred following the allegations that have been on the agenda.

According to a report by OdaTV, Ministry of Interior officials denied that an inspector had been assigned or an investigation launched regarding the claim.

"OBTAINED FROM A PRIVATE FUEL STATION"

In a statement made on his social media account following the allegations, Turgut Altınok stated the following:

"Claims in some media outlets that the Ministry of Interior is conducting an investigation into me regarding the election period are baseless.

The allegations that the fuel for either my own vehicle or the vehicles of my colleagues working with me on my campaign during my Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidacy were covered by the municipality are absolutely untrue.

It is a lie, it is slander.

During my candidacy process, the fuel for all our vehicles was obtained from a private fuel station, and the costs were paid.

Attempts are being made to discredit me and my party with such lies and slander. This statement has become necessary to prevent the public from being misled."
