TÜRK-İŞ and HAK-İŞ announce wage hike demands for public workers

The 21-article draft prepared by TÜRK-İŞ and HAK-İŞ includes comprehensive proposals for increasing the salaries of public workers. Among the demands concerning workers employed in public institutions such as highways, railways, power generation plants, ministries, universities, and hospitals, the primary request is to raise the lowest daily wage to 1,800 liras.

Following this increase, it was requested that a seniority raise be applied to workers and a 50 percent raise be implemented in the first six months of 2025. Raise rates of 25 percent were proposed for the second half of 2025 and both periods of 2026.

The confederations also requested that a 10 percent welfare share be added to wages for each period. Furthermore, it was demanded that if the requested raise rates remain below inflation, the resulting inflation difference be paid to the workers.

The draft submitted by TÜRK-İŞ and HAK-İŞ will be evaluated within the scope of the Public Collective Bargaining Framework Protocol covering the years 2025-2026.
