Türker İnanoğlu has passed away. Minister Koca announced the sad news

The 88-year-old famous figure of Turkish cinema, Türker İnanoğlu, who had been receiving treatment for health issues for some time, was taken to the hospital. Despite all interventions by doctors, İnanoğlu passed away.

İnanoğlu's son-in-law, journalist Cüneyt Özdemir, had previously denied reports of his death and stated that the famous producer's treatment was ongoing.

Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca stated on his social media account, "Producer and film director Türker İnanoğlu, one of the famous names in our art world, has passed away despite all interventions at the hospital where he was taken following a sudden illness. I wish him God's mercy and offer my condolences to his loved ones. As those who loved him, our grief is great."

WHO IS TÜRKER İNANOĞLU?

Turkish film director, producer, screenwriter, and businessman Türker İnanoğlu was born on May 18, 1936, in Safranbolu. He entered the field of cinema as an assistant director in 1957 while he was a student at the School of Applied Fine Arts.

He worked with famous directors such as Lütfi Ömer Akad and Nişan Hançer. He began his directing career with the film "Köyde Bir Kız Sevdim" (I Loved a Girl in the Village) in 1960.

In 1960, he founded his own film company called Erler Film. He established the Ulusal Video company in 1979 and a television studio in 1985.

He put his signature on numerous television productions. He was also the owner of the Atlas Cinema in Beyoğlu, the Kent Cinema in Şişli, and the Boğaziçi Cinemas in Kavacık. In 2005, he opened the TİM (Türker İnanoğlu Maslak Show Center) in Maslak, Istanbul.
