Turkey strongly condemns vehicle attack on Christmas market in Germany
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the attack on a Christmas market in the German city of Magdeburg.
The Ministry issued a written statement regarding the attack that took place in the German city of Magdeburg.
The statement noted that there is deep sorrow over the incident at a Christmas market in Magdeburg, which, according to initial findings, was a deliberate attack.
Wishing condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and a speedy recovery to the injured, the statement said, "We hope that the cause of this attack, which we strongly condemn, will be clarified as soon as possible and that the potential perpetrators will be held accountable before justice. We emphasize that we stand with Germany on this painful day."
It had been reported that 2 people were killed and over 60 were injured, according to initial findings, after a person drove their vehicle into a crowd at a Christmas market in the German city of Magdeburg.
