Turkish Airlines announces new appointments to senior management board

THY has announced that new individuals have begun their duties on the senior management board. Following today's Board of Directors meeting, Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat and General Manager Bilal Ekşi retired and stepped down from their roles in the company's management. Another decision taken at the meeting was the conclusion of Prof. Dr. Mecit Eş's membership on the Board of Directors.

Executive Committee Chairman Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat retired and was succeeded by Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker. It was stated that Executive Committee Member Ramazan Sarı resigned, while General Manager Bilal Ekşi retired and was replaced by Ahmet Olmuştur.

Metin Gülşen, who currently serves as the Head of Accounting and Financial Control, has been appointed as the Executive Vice President of Financial Affairs. It was also noted that Harun Baştürk, who serves as the 1st Region Sales President, has been appointed as the Executive Vice President of Commercial Affairs.

The following statements were included in the disclosure made to KAP regarding the senior management changes:

"Our company's Executive Committee Chairman and Executive Committee Member Mr. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat has retired, and Executive Committee Member Ramazan Sarı has resigned from their positions. Our company's Board of Directors has decided to appoint Mr. Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker to the vacant position of Executive Committee Chairman, and Mr. Ahmet Olmuştur and Mr. Metin Gülşen to the vacant positions of Executive Committee Members."

Regarding the appointment of Ahmet Olmuştur to replace General Manager Bilal Ekşi, the statement read: "Due to the retirement of Mr. Bilal Ekşi, who served as our company's General Manager, our company's Board of Directors has decided to appoint Mr. Ahmet Olmuştur, who served as Executive Vice President (Commercial), as General Manager; to appoint Mr. Metin Gülşen, who served as Head of Accounting and Financial Control, as Executive Vice President (Financial); and to appoint Mr. Harun Baştürk, who served as Sales President (1st Region), as Executive Vice President (Commercial). As Turkish Airlines, we thank Mr. Bilal Ekşi for his valuable contributions to our company and wish him continued success in his future professional life. We wish Mr. Ahmet Olmuştur, Mr. Metin Gülşen, and Mr. Harun Baştürk success in their new roles."
