Turkish Airlines partners with Apple to address lost luggage issues

Turkish Airlines (THY) has entered into a new collaboration agreement with tech giant Apple.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines, made a statement regarding the luggage tracking system, noting that this innovation will increase operational efficiency.

OFFERED TO PASSENGERS

Bolat, who made a statement on his social media account, said the following:

“As Turkish Airlines, we are happy to announce that we have entered into a collaboration with Apple to improve our luggage tracking system. With the release of iOS 18.2, our passengers will now be able to share the location information of their luggage—which may be experiencing delays—containing AirTag or Find My-supported devices with our relevant teams. Thanks to this innovation, we can quickly locate your luggage and deliver it to you, aiming to increase our operational efficiency while maximizing your satisfaction. Using this feature is extremely easy: simply create a “Share Item Location” link via the Find My app and share it through our website at https://lnkd.in/dhzeadvh. The shared location information is stored securely, expires automatically after seven days, or can be disabled by you at any time. Very soon, you will also be able to use the same feature through our mobile application. As Turkish Airlines, we are committed to using technology to enhance your travel experience. We will continue our efforts so that we can all have a better travel experience together. Thank you.”
