A total of 58 irregular migrants, including 29 children, who were attempting to cross from the Ayvacık district of Çanakkale to the Greek island of Lesbos by illegal means, were pushed back into Turkish territorial waters by Greek elements and left to die. The Greek Coast Guard pushed the rubber boat containing the irregular migrants, including children, back into Turkish territorial waters, leaving them to die.

The Coast Guard North Aegean Group Command teams took action upon receiving information that there was a group of irregular migrants in rubber boats at two different locations off the coast of Ayvacık.

The irregular migrants were handed over to the Repatriation Center in the Ayvacık district after their processing was completed.

In the footage shared by the Coast Guard Command, the irregular migrants can be seen stranded in the middle of the sea in the middle of the night.
