The TÜVTÜRK era has ended: MOI OGG takes over vehicle inspection stations

The Privatization Administration held a tender today for the 20-year operating rights of the vehicle inspection stations currently in use in Turkey. The MOI Joint Venture Group (OGG), which submitted the highest bid for the construction, maintenance, and operation services of the vehicle inspection stations, won the tender, for which numerous companies submitted bids. 

THE TÜVTÜRK ERA HAS ENDED

The tender held today was attended by Doğuş Tem OGG (Doğuş Holding AŞ-Tem Kocaeli Araç Muayene İstasyonları İşletim ve Ticaret AŞ), AGTT OGG (Aktur Araç Muayene İstasyonları İşletmeciliği AŞ-GGK Yapı Gayrimenkul Enerji Turizm İnşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti.-TÜV SÜD Aktiengesellschaft-Test Taşıt Muayene İstasyonları Yapım ve İşletim AŞ), and MOI OGG (Met-Gün İnşaat Taahhüt ve Ticaret AŞ- Itversia Gestion S.L.-Opus Group AB -VTV Norte SA).

BIDS FOR THE TWO REGIONS EXCEEDED 1.7 BILLION DOLLARS 

The bid submitted in the first non-elimination round of the tender for the first region was 750 million dollars. The first round of the tender, conducted via an open auction method, began at 800 million dollars. In this round, while a bid of 805 million dollars came from the MOI Joint Venture Group and 810 million dollars from the AGTT Joint Venture Group, the Doğuş Tem Joint Venture Group withdrew from the tender.

In the third and final round of the auction, MOI OGG increased its bid to 830 million dollars, while AGTT OGG announced its withdrawal from the tender.

Thus, MOI OGG won the privatization tender for the 1st region of vehicle inspection stations by submitting the highest bid.

The highest bid for the second region also remained unchanged:

In the ongoing tender, the bid submitted in the first non-elimination round for the 2nd region was 790 million dollars, after which the auction proceeded.

The first round of the tender, conducted via an open auction method, began at 876 million dollars.

In this round, while a bid of 878 million dollars came from the MOI Joint Venture Group and 880 million dollars from the AGTT Joint Venture Group, Doğuş Tem OGG withdrew from the tender.

In the third and final round of the auction, MOI OGG increased its bid to 890 million dollars, while AGTT OGG also announced its withdrawal from the tender.

Thus, MOI OGG submitted the highest bid of 890 million dollars for the 2nd region in the vehicle inspection station privatization tender.

On the other hand, while Turkey is divided into two regions within the scope of the tender, there are 45 provinces in the first region and 36 provinces in the second region.
