Two citizens go missing after being swept away by giant waves while fishing

 During the day yesterday, 2 people who went to the Riva coast to fish were swept away by giant waves and went missing at sea.   

  The incident occurred during the day yesterday on the Riva coast in the Beykoz district of Istanbul. According to allegations, Fatih Yastıkkaya and Emrah Dinçer, who lived in Çengelköy, went to the Riva Gelara coast to fish.

Yastıkkaya and Dinçer cast their lines into the sea from a point close to the water on the Riva coast. A short while later, the air temperature dropped suddenly and was replaced by wind. Giant waves formed in the sea along with the wind.

Fatih Yastıkkaya, one of the two friends who wanted to fish, lost his balance and fell into the sea as the waves rose suddenly. Seeing Yastıkkaya drowning after falling into the sea, Dinçer jumped in after his friend, attempting to save him.

However, although they struggled against the rough waves, the two friends who wanted to fish disappeared from sight after a while. When Fatih Yastıkkaya and Emrah Dinçer did not return home in the evening, their relatives went to the coast where they had gone to fish. Seeing that the two friends were not there and that there were giant waves, they notified the coast guard and police teams. Upon notification of the situation, numerous police teams, coast guard teams, and an aerial helicopter team were dispatched to the scene. Search and rescue efforts, which began in the evening, are continuing without interruption. 

  A citizen following the search and rescue efforts from the surroundings said, "We are locals here. We came to the coast with friends and saw a crowd here; people had gathered. One man fell into the water and apparently didn't know how to swim. The other one, I think, went missing in the sea while trying to save him." said.
