Two detained over provocation at girls' dormitory in Bayburt! Claims had circulated that a student lost her life

In Bayburt, individuals identified as R.K. and M.A. were taken into custody regarding a provocation that occurred at a girls' dormitory during the night.

The suspects were referred to the courthouse on charges of Publicly Disseminating Misleading Information.

Furthermore, upon the instruction of the prosecutor's office, access to 129 social media accounts was blocked.

A denial also came from the Bayburt Provincial Police Department regarding posts claiming that a student named R.K., who studies at Bayburt University and stays at the Sultan Fahriye Girls' Dormitory, had slit her wrists or had been stabbed.

As a result of the investigations, it was understood that the allegations did not reflect the truth.

The student named R.K., who was determined to have harmed herself, stated in her testimony that there was no assault incident and that she had harmed herself with a key she had with her.

The individual named R.K. was taken into custody for the crime of Publicly Disseminating Misleading Information and was referred to the courthouse for necessary proceedings. Additionally, an individual named M.A., who misrepresented the incident on social media accounts, was also taken into custody for the crime of Publicly Disseminating Misleading Information and was referred to the courthouse.

Again, in relation to the same matter, access to 129 social media accounts was blocked upon the instruction of the prosecutor's office.
