Two earthquakes occurred 3 minutes apart in Sincik, Adıyaman
AFAD announced that two earthquakes, measuring 3.7 and 4.2 in magnitude, were recorded in the Sincik district of Adıyaman at 21:40 and 21:43, respectively.
The Sincik district of Adıyaman was shaken by two consecutive earthquakes in the evening hours. The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) announced that the epicenter of both tremors was Sincik.
According to data from the AFAD Earthquake Department, the first earthquake was recorded on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 21:40. The magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 3.7, with a depth of 7.01 kilometers.
Three minutes after the first tremor, another earthquake occurred in the same district at 21:43. AFAD announced the magnitude of the second earthquake as 4.2 (Mw) and its depth as 7 kilometers.
