Two more suspects detained over threats against Atlas Çağlayan's family

Following the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Atlas Çağlayan in Istanbul's Güngören district, it was determined that online threats and provocative messages were being sent to his family members, particularly his mother, Gülhan Çağlayan.

Security teams continue to identify individuals who issued threats via social media as part of the investigation launched following the incident.

Of the six suspects previously detained in operations conducted by cybercrime and security branch teams, three were referred to the courthouse after their legal proceedings were completed. The interrogation of the other three suspects at the police station is ongoing.

TWO MORE PEOPLE IN CUSTODY

Within the framework of the developing investigation, it was announced that two more individuals who threatened Atlas Çağlayan's family were apprehended and detained in Adana. These individuals were also taken to the police station for questioning.

A total of three suspects who used provocative language in social media posts were referred to the Criminal Court of Peace with a request for arrest and were subsequently arrested by the court and sent to prison.

Authorities stated that the examination of the file and the investigation into the suspects are being conducted meticulously.
