Two passengers joke about a 'bomb', flight delayed
An Anadolujet flight departing from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Batman took off approximately 10 hours late due to a 'bomb' conversation between two passengers.
When the Anadolujet flight TK-7370, scheduled to depart for Batman at 07:35, did not take off for a long time, two passengers joked about there being a 'bomb' among themselves in an attempt to go out for a cigarette.
TWO PASSENGERS DETAINED
One of the passengers who overheard the conversation reported the situation to the staff. Upon the report, the flight was grounded, passengers were deplaned, and a bomb search was conducted. After the report turned out to be baseless, the 2 individuals were detained. The aircraft took off at 16:30 to land in Batman after final checks were completed.
On the other hand, as the current flight was delayed, passengers who were supposed to travel from Batman to Istanbul on the same aircraft at 09:35 were inconvenienced.
The Batman passengers traveled to Istanbul on the arriving aircraft.
