Two sisters staying at a hotel admitted to hospital with suspected 'food poisoning': Incident occurred at a hotel in Fatih
Two sisters who came to Fatih, Istanbul from the Netherlands for a vacation were admitted to the hospital with suspected 'food poisoning' at the hotel where they were staying.
The incident occurred around 13:00 at a hotel in the Mesihpaşa neighborhood of Fatih district.
According to the information obtained, Sadegül O. (29), who came to Fatih, Istanbul from the Netherlands for a vacation with her sister E.O. (16), was taken to the hospital today with suspected food poisoning at the hotel where they were staying.
The two sisters were taken under treatment at Çapa Medical Hospital, where they went complaining of nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Upon notification from the hospital, police teams conducted an investigation at the hotel.
In the information they provided to security officials, the two sisters stated that they arrived in Istanbul on November 17 and checked into the hotel.
Sadegül O. stated that they toured Fatih on November 17 and 18, and ate and drank at various places.
Sadegül O. stated that they went to the hospital today around 13:00 from the hotel where they were staying due to complaints of nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
While Sadegül O. was discharged after her treatment, it was learned that her sister E.O. continues to receive treatment in the pediatric ward and is not in life-threatening condition. The investigation initiated regarding the incident is ongoing.
