Uğur Dündar rebels against the price of a haircut and shave in Çeşme: It has ceased to be a situation that can be explained by inflation

Exorbitant prices in the most popular regions for summer vacations in Turkey continue to dominate the agenda.

Sözcü columnist Uğur Dündar rebelled against the hairdresser fees in Çeşme in a post on his social media account.

Stating that there are barbers and hairdressers charging 2,000 TL for a haircut and shave, Dündar used the expression, “It has ceased to be a situation that can be explained by this inflation; it has turned into a mindless craze.”

The entirety of Dündar’s post is as follows:

“There are barbers and hairdressers in Çeşme-Alaçatı charging 2,000 liras for a haircut and shave!

You read that right, a haircut and shave is 2,000 TL!..

It has ceased to be a situation that can be explained by this inflation; it has turned into a mindless craze!..

And then, for the retiree...

Period.”
