31 years have passed since the assassination of master journalist and intellectual Uğur Mumcu.
His wife and former CHP MP Güldal Mumcu revealed the dark points that remain unsolved in the murder despite the 31 years that have passed.
According to the report by Yavuz Alatan from Sözcü, Güldal Mumcu, speaking at the Edremit Book Fair, drew attention to the following points:
'THE STATE DID THIS'
After the assassination, they assigned a prosecutor named Ülkü Coşkun; he came to the house and asked for my statement. I asked him questions as well. He told me, ‘Ms. Güldal, do not push me. The state did this. If the political power wants to, it will solve it.’ I asked, ‘Like we see in the movies?’ He said, ‘Yes, but if you disclose this anywhere, I will deny it.’ Later, the prosecutor changed, and Kemal Erhan arrived. He said regarding the assassination, ‘A bit of mafia, international relations, intelligence agencies.’ A while later, this prosecutor was found dead in his home and was buried without an autopsy.
HÜDA-PAR DETAIL
Saadettin Tantan reopened the investigation when he was minister. They caught many people. A few of them received sentences. Oğuz Demir, who placed the bomb in the vehicle, could not be caught. A defendant who said he would explain everything was also shot in the head and killed on Vatan Street in Istanbul. Now, when we see an organization like HÜDA-PAR entering parliament, I accept that the saying ‘the state did this’ was an accurate remark.
Met with readers: Güldal Mumcu met with her readers at the Edremit Book Fair she attended and signed her book titled “İçimden Geçen Zaman” (The Time Passing Through Me).
HOW WAS UĞUR MUMCU KILLED?
