UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly will conduct a three-day diplomatic visit.

It was stated that during his visits to Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar, Minister Cleverly will discuss preventing the Israel-Palestine conflict from spreading to the region and potential peaceful solutions.

The statement, which pointed to the risk of the conflict spreading to the wider region, included the following remarks:

"This visit is planned to countries that are vital to international efforts to maintain regional stability, secure the release of hostages, and allow humanitarian access to Gaza."

HOSTAGE VISIT

In the statement, which included his remarks, Minister Cleverly said, "It is in the interest of neither Israel, nor Palestine, nor the wider Middle East to be drawn into this conflict. I will meet with my counterparts from influential states in the region to work together to ensure stability, de-escalate tensions, secure humanitarian access to Gaza, and achieve the release of hostages."

The statement also noted the contacts Cleverly has made regarding the issue since the conflict began on October 7, stating that he has held talks with Foreign Ministers from 20 countries during this process.

The statement also mentioned that the UK has increased its humanitarian aid to Gaza, and recalled that Cleverly paid a visit to Israel last week.
