UKOME meeting held: 'Türkiye Kart' decision for 2 lines in Istanbul

A UKOME meeting was held in Istanbul.

The UKOME meeting took place at the Çırpıcı Social Facilities under the chairmanship of IMM Deputy Secretary General Gürkan Akgün.

During the meeting, the proposal to pedestrianize Seyyid Ömer Cami Aralığı Street and Eski Vezir Street in Fatih, as well as Küçükhasfırın Street and Fikret Gündoğan Street in Silivri, was approved.

In the meeting where the parking meter project for 18 vehicles, consisting of 13 cars and 5 motorcycles on Cendere Street in Kağıthane, was finalized, it was decided to grant Electronic Inspection System (EDS) exemptions to certain vehicles under the authority of the IMM Transportation Department's Traffic Branch Directorate.

It was also decided at the meeting that, in accordance with the Highway Traffic Regulation, UKOME will determine new license plates for commercial plates that have lost, stolen, or duplicate annotations in the vehicle registration and title system.

PROPOSAL TO MOVE THE SIRKECI-HAREM CAR FERRY LINE TO YENIKAPI SENT TO SUB-COMMITTEE

At the meeting, the proposal to move the Sirkeci-Harem Car Ferry Line to Yenikapı and the proposal for EDS exemption for 94 vehicles under the authority of the IMM Waste Management Branch Directorate were referred to a sub-committee for further evaluation.

In the meeting where it was decided to ensure the integration of the Marmaray and the Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport Metro Line, operated by TCDD Transportation Inc., into the Türkiye Kart system and to determine the tariff, the proposal regarding the regulation of vehicles crossing via the Sirkeci-Harem and İstinye-Çubuklu Car Ferry Lines was also accepted.
