It has been reported that United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has held numerous meetings to address developments in Gaza and Lebanon.

A written statement regarding Guterres' meetings was issued by the UN Spokesperson's Office.
According to the statement, Guterres held a phone call yesterday with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. The situation in the Middle East and the Red Sea was discussed during the call.
Stating that all parties in the Red Sea must de-escalate tensions, Guterres also underscored the need to implement UN Security Council Resolution 2722.
Guterres reiterated his call for a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza and the release of all hostages, while the two sides agreed on the need to increase humanitarian aid.
MET WITH BLINKEN
Guterres, who is in Davos, met there with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
The two discussed humanitarian aid in Gaza and the release of hostages, as well as a two-state solution.
Guterres and Blinken noted the need to reduce regional tensions and maintain maritime security.
LEBANON AND JORDAN
In his meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Guterres emphasized the need to reduce regional tensions.
Guterres, who also met with Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh, discussed the situation in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as a two-state solution.
