Up to 4 years in prison requested for Ege Akersoy
The prosecution has announced its opinion regarding Ege Akersoy, who was arrested and subsequently released for punching a participant in a Palestine march in Istanbul on January 1, 2024.
The requested sentence for Ege Akersoy, who punched İsmail Aydemir for carrying a 'Tawhid' flag at the 'Mercy to Our Martyrs, Support for Palestine, Curse on Israel' rally organized by foundations and associations close to the AKP, has been announced.
The prosecution has requested that Akersoy be sentenced to up to 4 years in prison for 2 separate crimes.
