US Secretary of State Blinken in Ankara
Secretary of State Blinken will discuss Syria with Hakan Fidan.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has arrived in Ankara to hold talks with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
The plane carrying Secretary Blinken and his delegation landed at Esenboğa Airport.
Blinken was welcomed at Esenboğa Airport by the Director General of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ahmet Cemil Miroğlu, the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Ankara, Michael Goldman, and numerous other officials.
Blinken, who visited Jordan before Turkey, is expected to meet with Minister Fidan tomorrow.

A statement from the US Department of State indicated that Blinken's visit would address efforts regarding the transition process following the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria, the political process in the country, and a potential ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
Foreign Minister Fidan and his US counterpart Blinken held phone calls on December 7 and 10 regarding the latest developments in Syria.
