User who engaged in terrorist propaganda on social media sentenced to share Turkish flag for 1 month
A user accused of making posts containing terrorist organization propaganda on social media has been sentenced by the court to share the Turkish flag from their social media account for one month.
In Erzurum’s Hınıs district, a woman identified as R.F. was taken into custody on the grounds that she made posts containing terrorist organization propaganda on social media.
The user, who was detained due to her social media posts, was referred to the court with a request for arrest following processing at the police station.
'TURKISH FLAG' SHARING SENTENCE
According to Anadolu Agency, the Hınıs Criminal Court of Peace sentenced the user accused of engaging in terrorist organization propaganda to make posts from the same account. It was decided that these posts, which must be made for 1 month, must feature the Turkish flag.
Following the court's decision, the Turkish flag began to be shared from the account. It was reported that the user was released under judicial control following this sentence. The prosecutor's office has reportedly appealed the decision for her release.
