Speaking to journalists in front of the YSK building, Lawyer Erdem Cömert, a member of the party's Central Executive Committee and Deputy Head of the Legal Affairs Bureau, claimed that Zeydan's candidacy was contrary to the law and that the YSK had violated the Constitution by issuing the certificate.
Furthermore, Lawyer Nusret Senem, Head of the Vatan Party's Legal Affairs Bureau, stated that there is an ongoing case at the Court of Cassation regarding allegations of Zeydan's membership in a terrorist organization, and expressed that they have submitted an official petition for the YSK to review and revoke its decision.
