Vedat Işıkhan responds to 'gradual retirement' question

Millions of employees covered by SSK and Bağ-Kur who entered the Social Security Institution (SGK) between 2000 and 2008 and missed the EYT (Retirement Age) regulation have been looking toward gradual retirement.

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan responded to questions from members of the press regarding internships and gradual retirement.

Regarding the regulation that millions of employees have been eagerly awaiting, Işıkhan stated, "We do not have any work on our agenda regarding internship victims or gradual retirement."

WHAT IS GRADUAL RETIREMENT?

Gradual retirement is a system that allows individuals who meet certain conditions to retire incrementally. In this system, instead of a fixed retirement age and number of premium days, the basis is the gradual fulfillment of both conditions.
