Vehicle driven by AKP deputy involved in accident: 1 dead, 2 injured

The accident occurred on the Düzce-Akçakoca highway. The Skoda brand car with license plate 06 ER 081, driven by Deputy Ercan Öztürk, who was traveling from Düzce toward Akçakoca, collided with a Fiat Tofaş brand car with license plate 81 AD 932, driven by Metin Sarıbaş, which was attempting to enter the intersection.

DIED AT THE SCENE

Due to the impact, the Tofaş brand car was shattered, and the driver, Metin Sarıbaş, lost his life at the scene. Deputy Ercan Öztürk and his son, Muhammet Öztürk, who was with him, were slightly injured in the accident.

INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED

Upon notification by citizens in the vicinity, health, police, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene.

The injured were taken to the hospital by ambulances for treatment after receiving initial intervention from medical teams at the scene.

Due to the accident, traffic on the Düzce-Akçakoca highway was provided in a controlled manner for a while, while teams conducted an investigation at the scene.

An investigation into the accident has been launched.
