Verdict announced in Adnan Oktar criminal organization case
The verdict in the Adnan Oktar criminal organization case has been announced. The sentences received by the defendants have been determined.
Among the members who were fugitives and subsequently captured, Orkun Sadun Erol was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison for membership, Ali Sadun Engin was sentenced to 30 years for sexual assault, Erol Şimşek was sentenced to 256 years for sexual assault, and Orkun Şimşek was sentenced to 346 years for sexual assault.
Paşa Durmuş, on the other hand, was acquitted.
According to the report by Cumhuriyet, the presiding judge stated in the verdict, "We did not apply any discretionary reduction because we saw no indication that you would not commit further crimes or that you would leave the organization."
