Hiranur Foundation founder Yusuf Ziya Gümüşel was accused of marrying off his 6-year-old daughter, H.K.G., to 29-year-old Kadir İstekli through a religious marriage. In the indictment prepared by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was requested that Kadir İstekli be sentenced to no less than 30 years in prison for the crimes of "child sexual abuse" and "aggravated sexual assault," and that father Yusuf Ziya Gümüşel and mother Fatıma Gümüşel be sentenced to no less than 18 years in prison for the crime of "aggravated child sexual abuse." A verdict is expected to be reached at tomorrow's hearing at the Anatolian 2nd High Criminal Court.
