Verdict in Uğur Dündar's 'paternity' case! First statement released

A verdict has been reached in the "paternity case" filed against journalist Uğur Dündar by an individual named D.G. The court concluded that Dündar is not the biological father of D.G. and dismissed the case.

While Uğur Dündar and D.G. did not attend the hearing held at the Isparta 3rd Family Court, their lawyers were present. Stating that they would finalize the case, the judge noted that the Council of Forensic Medicine had conducted a DNA analysis and that there was no evidence regarding biological paternity.

Announcing its decision, the court concluded that "Uğur Dündar is not the biological father of D.G." and dismissed the case.

Following the verdict, Dündar made a statement on his social media account, saying, "The Council of Forensic Medicine's DNA analysis had definitively rejected the claim of biological paternity. Yesterday, the court also rendered its decision and dismissed this unnecessary case."

“WE WILL TAKE THE FILE TO THE APPELLATE COURT”

D.G.'s lawyers, Ahmet Furkan Uludağ and Ferihan Polat, stated regarding the verdict, “Although Dündar has made statements as if the process has completely ended, and similar remarks have been made on some daytime programs, our objections to the DNA report remain valid. The DNA testing and reporting phase was not conducted in accordance with procedure and is full of errors.

This leads us to believe that the report does not reflect the truth. For this reason, we will take the file to the higher court, the Appellate Court. The Appellate Court will evaluate our objections and make a decision.

In summary; there is no final decision yet in the case that the opposing party describes as 'unnecessary' but which has cost our client their life. Our legal struggle continues,” they said.
