Verdict reached for 15-year-old who brutally murdered girl of the same age in İzmir

The police procedures for U.E.Y. (15), who was detained in connection with the stabbing death of 15-year-old H.Ç.Ç. at her father's home in İzmir's Hasan neighborhood the previous evening, and the girl's father, I.U.Ç., have been completed.

Of the suspects referred to the courthouse, the father, I.U.Ç., was released following his statement to the prosecutor. U.E.Y. was arrested by the presiding judge.

WHAT HAPPENED?

In the Hasan neighborhood, 15-year-old H.Ç.Ç. had an argument with her former boyfriend, U.E.Y. (15), at her father I.U.Ç.'s home, after which U.E.Y. stabbed the girl and fled.

Teams from the Karabağlar District Police Department's Crime Prevention Unit apprehended U.E.Y. with the knife used in the crime, and the father of the deceased girl, I.U.Ç., was also taken into custody upon the prosecutor's instructions.

It was learned that in his initial statement, U.E.Y. said that H.Ç.Ç. was his former girlfriend and that he stabbed her and fled because he thought she was cheating on him.

The father, I.U.Ç., had stated that he was separated from his wife and lived alone, that his daughter, who lived with her mother, wanted to visit him with a friend, that he went out to let the children talk in private when they arrived at the house, and that he found his daughter covered in blood when he returned.
