Veyis Ateş and Taner Çağlı arrested: Drug investigation in the media
In the "drug" investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office targeting the media, former Habertürk TV Editor-in-Chief Veyis Ateş, social media influencer Taner Çağlı, and businessman Mustafa Karataş were detained and referred to the courthouse. Following their statements to the prosecutor, Veyis Ateş and Taner Çağlı were arrested and sent to prison.

Veyis Ateş, Taner Çağlı, and Mustafa Karataş were taken intocustodywere taken into custody.

The suspects, whose statements were completed at the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command,were referred to theIstanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan.

Former Editor-in-Chief ofHabertürkEditor-in-ChiefVeyis Ateş was taken to the Istanbul Courthouse under police escort on December 18, 2025, to provide a statement as part of the "drug" investigation.He wasbrought to theIstanbul Courthouseforquestioning. It was also learned that Ateş, who was released after his statement, wouldundergo a drug test.
