Veysi Kurt, who was removed from his post as General Manager of TCDD following the Çorlu train disaster in which 25 people lost their lives, has been reappointed after 5 years.
TCDD General Manager Veysi Kurt, who came to the agenda with the train accident that occurred on July 8, 2018, in the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, where 25 people, including 7 children, lost their lives and more than 300 people were injured, was removed from his post by a Presidential decree on September 19, 2019, 14 months after the accident.
Kurt has been reappointed to the same position by President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
