Mr. Numan Kurtulmuş is a valuable statesman and politician who has earned the respect of our nation through his political background, personality, and courtesy, and who has always defended democracy and national unity against terrorism. The insult directed at our TBMM Speaker was not only against his person but also against the reputation of our Parliament. It is our common responsibility, as both government and opposition, to protect the dignity of our Nation's Parliament and not to cause it any harm."
