5 people shot in armed brawl in the middle of the street in Nişantaşı: Former FBI agent witnessed the incident

An armed brawl broke out between two groups with a prior feud on Vali Konağı Street in Şişli.

In the ensuing fight, 4 passersby and 1 of the feuding individuals were wounded, while 1 person was taken into custody in connection with the incident.

The incident occurred around 18:30 on Şişli Vali Konağı Street. According to information obtained, two groups with a prior feud met at a cafe.

The two groups, who began arguing there, later went outside. As the argument escalated, one of the attackers drew his weapon and opened fire on his rival in front of the cafe. The attacker shot 3 passersby in the leg and a Russian citizen in the back. It was learned that one of the feuding individuals was also wounded in the leg.

Upon notification, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Police teams apprehended the attacker in a short time and took him into custody. The wounded were taken to the hospital by ambulances after initial intervention. It was learned that the condition of the wounded taken to the hospital is good.

Police teams have launched an investigation into the incident.

Former FBI agent Erdal Kaya, known on social media as 'Amerikalı Aynasız', announced that he was in Nişantaşı during the clash.

Sharing on social media, Kaya stated, "3 people were shot right in front of me in Nişantaşı. The swift intervention of the police officers was magnificent. The suspect was taken into custody immediately during the incident. I also tried to do what I could. It was very good that the police took the suspect into custody immediately. I have some comments I would like to make regarding the scene control and intervention. But such things are generally chaotic, and these are normal."
