In the Aksu district of Antalya, a 56-year-old woman lost her life in a fire caused by an air conditioner explosion in a room. The incident occurred around 15:00 on 12051st Street in the Kurşunlu neighborhood. According to allegations, the air conditioner in the room exploded while Fatma Sargın (56) was sleeping. Sparks from the explosion jumped onto the blanket of Sargın, who was lying under the air conditioner, and immediately engulfed the bed. Fatma Sargın, who was reported to be overweight, was unable to get up from where she was and could not leave the room, remaining trapped in the flames.

Her son, who was in the house, noticed the heavy smoke and ran to his mother's room. Despite his attempts to intervene in the fire and the bed engulfed in flames, he was unfortunately unable to save his mother. Fire crews arriving at the scene extinguished the fire and determined that the unfortunate woman had lost her life.

It was learned that Fatma Sargın was a mother of 2 and had been battling colon cancer for some time. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
