AKP İzmir MP Mehmet Ali Çelebi — who moved from the CHP to the Memleket Party, then resigned and joined the AKP's ranks, and spent 41 months in prison in the Ergenekon frame-up — has set out on a 'persuasion' tour for the new opening process called 'Terrorism-Free Turkey.'
Çelebi wore a commando beret while speaking about the process on a programme he attended.
Saying "The greatest victory belongs to the families of our martyrs and our veterans," Çelebi added: "The winner is Major Aslan Kulaksız, who fell as a martyr before the eyes of his daughter and wife. The winner is Eren Bülbül and Ferhat Gedik, who threw himself over Eren to take the bullet..."
HE HAD SHOWERED ERDOĞAN WITH PRAISE
In a speech he delivered at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) in recent months, Çelebi had showered AKP leader and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with praise. Comments describing him as "the fastest AKP member" had been made about Çelebi.
