Anahtar Party member makes statement on Presidential Government System: 'We are against it for now, but...'
Anahtar Party Central Executive Board (MYK) member Murat Uçar stated regarding the Presidential Government System, "We are against it for now, but I am not sure if we will be able to give up that comfort and those palaces once we move to the other side of the table." Uçar's remarks drew backlash.
Murat Uçar, a Central Executive Board (MYK) member of the Anahtar Party, founded by Yavuz Ağıralioğlu who resigned from the İYİ Party, made remarks regarding the Presidential Government System that are set to spark debate.
Addressing members at his party's organization meeting in Bağcılar, Istanbul, Uçar stated, "We are against the Presidential Government System for now, but when conditions change tomorrow and we move to the other side of the table, will we be able to give up that comfort, those palaces, and that ostentation? I am not sure."
