Arrested for allegedly killing adopted dogs: New footage emerges

The incident took place in the Bağlıca neighborhood of Etimesgut. According to allegations, 28-year-old Muhammet Mustafa D. adopted 3 puppies from his neighbors in the neighborhood a few days ago.

Neighbors who could not get any news after the animals were adopted became suspicious and went to Muhammet Mustafa D.'s house. A fight broke out between the animal lovers and Muhammet Mustafa D., who claimed the dogs had run away and refused to show them.

Following a complaint to the police by neighbors concerned about the animals' lives, an investigation was launched. Muhammet Mustafa D., in whose home animal remains and strong evidence suggesting he had killed the dogs were found, was taken into custody. The suspect, who was referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station, was arrested for 'intentionally killing a pet' and sent to prison. It was learned that the individual, who had reportedly adopted a total of 11 puppies from a veterinarian and various people at different times, denied the accusations against him.

CAMERA FOOTAGE EMERGES

In the examined camera footage, the moments when the suspect, Mustafa D., tortured the puppy by kicking it were revealed. In the recordings, it was seen that the suspect dragged the animals he abused into his house, and it was alleged that there were animal carcasses in the bags he took outside. On the other hand, the moments when Mustafa D. adopted two puppies from a veterinarian in March were also reflected on the security camera.

HE DID NOT ACCEPT THE ACCUSATIONS

It was learned that the suspect said in his statement to the prosecutor's office that he adopted 5 puppies from a person in April after seeing an advertisement on the internet. Stating that the dogs escaped through an open window on the kitchen balcony, Mustafa D. stated that when he noticed the situation, he checked the surroundings but could not reach the animals. Saying that he adopted 3 more puppies after seeing them on an internet advertisement again, the suspect said, "When I brought the dogs home, I washed them because I didn't know in what kind of environment they had been kept. The puppy seen on the bag in the preliminary examination report shown to me is the dog I washed, and although it is alleged that it was lying motionless and covered in blood, this does not reflect the truth. The reason for the red color is due to a mixture of milk and wet dog food."

CLAIMED THE STAINS WERE PAINT

When asked about the red stains found on the wall of his house, the suspect Mustafa D. said, "The red stains on the wall show a certain part of the wall that I painted for hobby purposes. Although the red stains were evaluated as blood, this issue does not reflect the truth."

"EVIDENCE WAS PLANTED BY POLICE"

The suspect, who did not accept the accusations, said regarding the evidence found in the house, "I think the evidence seized as a result of the search in my house was planted there by the police. Because it was stated that no evidence was found in the first search. That is all I have to say."

Animal lovers showed their reaction by writing "Murderer's house" on the wall of the suspect's house

A group of animal lovers who gathered showed their reaction by writing 'Murderer's house' and 'Satanist' on the walls of the house where the events were alleged to have taken place. Expressing that they were worried about the situation, the local residents demanded that the suspect be tried with the heaviest penalty he deserves.

INVESTIGATIONS CONTINUE

Within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Ankara Western Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, excavation work was carried out by crime scene investigation teams in the garden of the house in question. It was reported that investigations into the incident are continuing.

Physician Ahmet Akgüngör, who works at the veterinary clinic where Mustafa D. adopted two puppies, said, "The adopted puppies had come here due to illness. They were treated here. The aggressive individual said he wanted to adopt these dogs through animal lovers. They came here and took the dogs. We didn't have much of a chance to talk. There was nothing strange in his behavior. The person who facilitated the adoption of the dogs called me and said that this person was a serial killer. We were horrified. We were shocked. Those dogs were only a month old. As physicians, we are trying to save lives. We are putting in serious effort. Since the person adopting them was a doctor, we hoped he would be a more compassionate person. It is very sad to encounter such a situation. I hope he gets the heaviest penalty."
