Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 1,124 suspects have been detained as part of the Mercek-11 operations conducted against arms smugglers across 74 provinces.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya shared the details of the Mercek-11 operations in a statement on his social media account.
In the operations carried out in 74 provinces against individuals carrying unlicensed weapons and arms smugglers, 749 unlicensed pistols, 72 pistols converted from blank-firing guns, 26 long-barreled rifles, 164 unlicensed hunting rifles, and 998 weapons were seized.
Yerlikaya announced that 1,124 suspects were detained within the scope of the operations.
