CHP deputy's driver drives vehicle at police officer: Video rebuttal follows news reports

According to information obtained, on Wednesday, April 23, on Altındağ Talatpaşa Boulevard, the individual serving as the driver for CHP Deputy Adnan Beker, driving a Mercedes-brand vehicle with license plate 06 TC 0066, failed to comply with a traffic officer's 'stop' order and drove the vehicle at the officer, despite being informed that the entrance to Cumhuriyet Street was closed.

The police officer was injured and taken to the hospital. The injured police officer filed a complaint against I.A., who drove the vehicle at him.

CHP'S BEKER SHARES 'HERE ARE THE FACTS'

CHP Deputy Adnan Beker made a statement on his social media account following the news reports about his driver and himself, and shared the following message under the heading 'here are the facts':

On April 23, while entering the area to attend our party's program, my vehicle had passed through 3 different police checkpoints and approached the area without any difficulty. In front of the Ankara Train Station, my vehicle was stopped again in an arbitrary manner.

In the dialogue with the commissioner, after stating that my vehicle could not pass and that we could park in the relevant area, my friend who was driving my vehicle tried to park the car at the commissioner's request, when a police officer present there, contrary to his superior's order, threw himself in front of my vehicle.

*I had not published these images until today so that the isolated action of one police officer would not be attributed to all our police officers, whom we consider as our own flesh and blood. However, the broadcasting of the beginning and end of the MOBESE records on some TV channels, the use of headlines such as “Adnan Beker Injured a Police Officer” when there was no injured person, and the posting of slanderous content from some troll accounts have made it necessary for us to publish these images.*

The incident, in which the police officer in question received a 5-day medical report, which was shared as a character assassination claiming “a police officer was injured,” and where *HOMICIDE BUREAU TEAMS AND A LOCKSMITH* went to the home of my friend who was driving the vehicle in the early hours of the morning with the intent to detain him, is as seen in the footage!

We neither harm anyone nor violate the rights of our police. But we will not let anyone violate the rights of the nation either.
